Lenten Slovak  Hymn-Sing

Križová Cesta Pána Našého Ježiša Krista

Traditional Stations of the Cross

On March 27, 2022 we held our Annual Lenten Service in the St. Ignatius Loyola Parish. We were happy with the attendance considering that we were unable to have the service for two years. Father John Albosta, Dorothy Sullivan, Helen Naylon, Robert Zavada, and Anthony Palischak read the Stations of the Cross. John Simkovich was the organist, Anna Hudock and Elaine Palischak were candle bearers, and Raphael Micca was the cross bearer and acolyte. Father Andrew Hvozdovic had Benediction.

It was a prayerful afternoon during this holy season of Lent. An abundance of food and social interaction followed. Many expressed their gratitude to our society for continuing this Lenten Service.

The society continues our time-honored Slovak saying:

"Kde Je Slovak Tam Je Spev"

"Where There Is A Slovak There Is Song"
