Reverend Jozef Murgaš Exhibit at Heritage Festival
Holmdel, New Jersey
We showed our Murgaš Exhibit at the 33rd Slovak Heritage Festival on Sunday, September 26, 2010. This annual festival is held by the Garden State Cultural Center Fund at PNC Bank Arts Center, Garden State Parkway, Exit 116, Holmdel, New Jersey. Michael and Joan Stretanski attended and commented that the festival was very well attended. Mike and Joan drove with the SHSNEPA Murgaš exhibit from northeast Pa to New Jersey. Thank you guys!
The program included Slovak Mass celebrated by the Most Reverend Bernard Bober, Archbishop of Kosice, Slovakia and a Slovak Parade of Fashions. A soccer tournament, children's entertainment, Slovak food and refreshments were also a part of the festival.
A bus from Scranton area took people to the festival. Peter Kmec, a young man from Slovakia, and Matthew Duda were on the trip. The photos were taken by Paul Yanosik, Sinking Springs, PA.
